Detects presence of voltage or capacitance on overhead and underground cabling or on switch gear and MCC Panels
Low sensitivity range and a high capability range
Range selector switch is conveniently located in a protected area on the back of the meter housing
Three degrees of sensitivity – capacitance and two direct line contacts
Capacitance test will produce a minimum 1/3 scale deflection at 300 volts (No capacitance test point measurement for voltage ratings of 69kv or above.)
Contact with the capacitance test point of a separable elbow connector carrying 25kV will also produce a 2/3 scale deflection
Higher voltages can be checked when unit is placed on “Direct Line”
Shielded tester reads only the contacted test point – no stray fields will be indicated
Maximum operating temperature range -20°F to 140°F (-30°C to 60°C)
Ready to attach to hot stick or another type of connector (i.e. universal)
Proof tester included (except for units of 69kV or above)
